Abstract

Background: Malaria is one among the most important public health issues of the country. Worldwide prevalence of protozoal infection is regarding 300- five hundred million every year. it's gift in additional than one hundred countries round the world. Most of those ar developing countries or underneath developed countries. therefore it's an excellent impact on their economy. The aim is to review the clinicohematological profile of patients with falciparum protozoal infection. Methods: The present study was conducted at MNR Medical College and Hospital, Sanga Reddy, Andhra Pradesh. The study was carried out in 100 patients out of 121 cases of Falciparum malaria, admitted during the period of 2010 November to 2012 October in this hospital. Results: The numbers of males (72%) affected in our study were a lot of compared to females (28%). The male to feminine magnitude relation was a pair of.5:1. during this study the preponderantly affected cohort was between 20-40 years. the foremost common presenting symptom was fever i.e. in 100 percent of cases. luridness was noted in eighty one you look after the overall cases. it had been found that thirty seventh of patients had normocytic normochromic image on peripheral smear.
